"My father told me to turn myself in."

So said a preadolescent boy upon arrival at a police station in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The boy, who is about 10, stole more than 6,000 yuan ($900) from his parents and used it to buy gaming equipment. When his parents found out, they told him to turn himself in to police for theft. According to the police, the boy's mother discovered that 6,000 yuan in cash was missing from their home, but her jewelry, which was beside the cash, were untouched. She suspected her son and questioned him. The boy admitted stealing the money after his parents questioned him several times. The parents told the police that the child has been playing online games all summer and they made him turn himself in to teach him a lesson. (Source: The Modern Express)
